Gastric Band Hypnotherapy

Gastric Band Hypnotherapy consists of a course of 4 sessions of about 60 to 90 mins. The first 3 sessions are about 1 - 2 weeks apart. There is then a gap of 4 weeks between the 3rd and 4th session. It is important to remember that this treatment is an aid to weight loss and that you need to be motivated to make changes and be committed to listening to the recordings on a daily basis.

Session 1: this session will involve gathering information about current eating habits and exercise, and identifying the areas where changes need to be made and agreeing on an ideal goal. You are given a recording of the therapeutic part of the session to take away and listen to on a daily basis.
Session 2: the first part of this session is to find out how you are getting on in making the changes discussed in the first session. The gastric band procedure is discussed. The therapeutic part of the session is around meeting your surgeon and discussing the procedure. You will be asked to continue to listen to the recording from the first session daily.
Session 3: the operation. You will be given another recording to listen to over the next 4 weeks emphasising the feeling of fullness.
Session 4: a follow-up session to confirm you are progressing well and whether the gastric band needs to be tightened or loosened.

Cost: £300 for the course: £150 payable at the first consultation, and the 2nd & 3rd appointments booked; £75 payable at both the 2nd and 3rd consultation. 4th appointment booked at the end of the 3rd session.
